Smoky Mountain National park

This 4’ x 5’ work is the third piece in my National Park Series, created using acorns stuffed with discarded plastic to highlight the tension between preservation and overconsumption. Inspired by the Smoky Mountains and made during the impact of Hurricane Helene, the piece reflects resilience, vulnerability, and community—with a subtle Asheville Strong tribute woven throughout. It serves as both homage and reminder: our national parks are enduring, but not invincible.
